Earth Day is a special day dedicated to all the people who are interested in taking care of Earth! This day assumes to raise the consciousness for the possibilities to increase the efficiency of the energy and utilization of renewable resources of energy and the protection of the environment.

Earth Day is celebrated every April 22nd in more than 175 places around the world, and by more than 500 milion people. This cypher is listed in the third place as the most celebrated day around the world. April 22nd has been marked as Earth Day from 1970.

Officially, the United Nations marked April 22 as the Earth Day and April as the Earth Month. This day is celebrated worldwide with a variety of activities such as afforestation, various campaigns, performances, fairs, etc.

Earth Day is our day, a day when we think of all the ways we can contribute to the preservation of the environment; in preventing its destruction; as well as reminds us of the planet's pollution.

Of course, this day should serve to help people understand how important the environment is, and to think ecologically. To care for our planet, we need commitment every hour and every day.

Municipality of Prishtina, respectively BMT team invites every institution, organization, business and citizen of Prishtina, to be part of the activities that the Municipality of Prishtina is organizing on April 22nd, the Earth Day.
